A while back I bought **Maybelline Lash Stiletto. This one has been around for years since 2008 to be exact. I’ve been noticing it since 2011 which was the year of my mascara experimental phase. I tried quite a few drugstore mascaras that year but never got around to this one. And over time I found my go-to mascaras and would buy them consistently. So I’m just getting around to using this one now.
Brush

It has the classic mascara brush which is what I usually refer to as the pipe cleaner brush. It’s not wide or dense and holds a a good bit of product on it.
Texture
It is soft when it dries or my eyelashes don’t feel hard like some mascaras make lashes feel. But it is a bit of a thicker consistency.
Application
Bare

My eyelashes are naturally short. And even with mascara they aren’t very noticable unless I do a lot of work..like apply two coats with two different mascaras and curl afterwards.
One coat of Maybelline Lash Stiletto

It reminds me a little bit of Loreal Telescopic Mascara. But it isn’t as good as L’Oreal Telescopic. I have always said that I prefer plastic bristles because they apply mascara more evenly which this one isn’t. But this brush isn’t as dense or wide as other non plastic bristles. So I think it applies mascara well to each lash but it doesn’t separate the lashes very well at all as shown below.
Two coats of Maybelline Lash Stiletto

On the second coat application it started to clump. And I also find that it is heavy. I only ever wear two coats of it and I can feel the weight of it on my eye lashes.
Lasting power
It lasted for hours with no problem. And I didn’t have any issues with flaking.
Removal
This formula is water soluable so it breaks down easily with makeup remover. Even warm water breaks it down well enough on its own.
Ranking 3/5 ⭐⭐⭐
I can’t say I’d repurchase because the heaviness of it just made me want to remove it. But other than that it’s an okay product.
Thanks for reading
