I’ve used Aveeno Daily Moisturizing cleanser for several years on and and off. And I’ve tried a few different cleansers throughout that time. And I can honestly say its one of the best. I had the original formula that I also mentioned here. And it was great. I like it because it only took a few washes to start to see results. It cleared both my skin’s texture and tone better than some marketed as acne washes or “tone eveners” lol (I made up my own word there I think. Like it?) 😉

Anyway, when I ran out of that one I went to buy a new one and I couldn’t find it anywhere. I just assumed it was discontinued. But then I found it at a Dollar Store and bought it there. When I came across it, I saw that the packaging looked a bit different. And when I finally used it I discovered that the formula had changed too. What was once a pearly white lotion scented cream facial wash, was now a clear strange smelling cleanser.

At first, I couldn’t stand the smell. The closest description I’ve got to how it smells is plastic pancake syrup….that expired…..five years ago. So I mixed it with Ambi Exfoliating facial wash. And that hid the scent pretty well. I’ve used it without mixing it a few times and I got a little more used to it. So I can use it alone now even though I still can’t say I enjoy the smell. However, I think its still a good cleanser. I can’t see that it works as quickly as the previous formula did. But it is still a nice gentle cleanser for daily use. It has a nice lather, its moisturizing, and doesn’t have an abrasive texture.

Overal Rating ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5.

Though I only gave it three stars, I’d recommend this product. And I’d also repurchase.
