E.L.F Glow Reviver Lip Oil Review

I don’t usually purchase lip oils or glosses. Some lip glosses and oils are heavy and gooey, or sticky and gross and make me want to wipe them off immediately. For this reason, I’ve always been more of a lipstick and lip liner lady. Every once in a while I’ll buy a gloss. But I don’t venture down lip gloss road very often. So it is ironic that the e.l.f lip oils kept catching my eye..or my ear.😂 Every time I’d pass by the display they called to me. “Amber…..Ambbberrrr! Come and look over here. ” “Pick me! Pick me!”. And I’d always stop and look at them and the rest of the elf display. Until one day I gave in and picked one up and took it home. (That sounds like I stole it. LOL)

I didn’t just take it home. I did pay for it by the way. 😂 Anyway, I couldn’t keep leaving it . They were just too cute to ignore and I’m sorry I couldn’t buy all of them. They cost nine dollars which I think it’s a bit expensive. Makeup prices are rising which explains it. But I think that if the price was half of what it is, it would be a little more reasonable.

Anyway, it comes in  10 shades: It’s Giving Guava, Jam Session, Coral Fixation, Crystal Clear, Honey Talks, Hot as Fudge, Money Mauve, Pink Quartz, Red Delicious, and Rose Envy.

For a while, I had my eye on Honey Talks and Rose Envy. I guess Honey Talks was the one that kept calling me trying to get my attention because it is the one I bought.

When I tried it on, the first thing I noticed was how smooth it felt. I guess it should feel that way because it’s a lip oil and not a gloss. It was very comfortable to wear and not sticky at all. It is also very moisturizing and smooth.  It was very sheer and didn’t show a lot of the color. I’m not sure if it’s because of the depth of my skin tone or if it shows up this way on lighter complexions too.

Product Claims

  • Non Sticky
  • Glass like shine
  • Hydrating.

I used the product before I read the claims to get my impression without influence. I found that the claims were correct and it feels comfortable and lightweight too. I have a photo below of how it looks worn. You can’t see the color it is very subtle but the shine and the feel still make the purchase worth it. As I said above, I think cutting the price in half would be better. But that’s really the only con I can think of.

The packaging is cute and sturdy. The applicator is the classic doe foot applicator.

And here it is on my lips……

Overall, I give it a 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ and I’d definitely recommend it.
