A few months ago I bought the covergirl clean invisible foundation. It wasn’t that I needed a new foundation I just wanted to try it out. Ironically., have never been one to experiment much with foundations though I focus mostly on base. I do most of my experimentation with colored products like blushes and lipsticks. So I never buy foundation unless I’m out of the one or two that are my go-tos at any given time. But this one, though the packing is quite plain, caught my eye.
I’m like a lightweight buildable coverage. And the words “clean and invisible” jumped out at me. It had the typical amount of shades in a drugstore foundation line. In store I saw about nine or ten shades but the Covergirl Website sells twenty-four shades. Six of those shades are brown shades which is sad. So I guess there is variety but not diversity which is also typical of drugstore foundation variations. I got it in the shade Deep Golden.

My Review
It is lightweight and blends smoothly and easily into the skin. The finish is natural just like the claims say. It gave me a nice evened out complexion and a natural and healthy glow. I can’t speak for the texture claims at the moment as I’ve been having skin issues for a few months now. I think the shade I chose was slightly too dark for me. But I use Mac Mineralize skin finish to set it sometimes and that lightens it up a bit. With the Mac powder on top it retains its glow-y finish. If I would have gone a shade up it would’ve been way too light, and if I’d gone a shade down it would probably be way too dark. But with six shades of brown there’s not much room to move around. I have a couple of foundations that are lighter that I can mix it with and it wears just fine that way too. It’s a good foundation overall and I’d recommend it. It’s pros outweigh its cons with the only con being limited shade range for deeper skin tones.
I give it a ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5
