Five-minute makeup is a must have for when you are in a rush. We have all been there. And I am there an embarrassing percentage of the time. Its also good for when you don’t want to wear much makeup but want to look more put together. I wanted to share my go to routine for maximum impact that requires minimal effort. You don’t need a lot of products to look put together while highlighting your best features at the same time. And they don’t have to be expensive products. All you need is five products. A foundation, concealer, eyeliner, mascara, and a cream blush.
1 Foundation

This is one of my current go-to foundations. It is L’Oreal True Match Lumi foundation in the color N7-8 Classic Tan/ Cappuccino. I’ve worn this brand of foundation since 2013 and it hasn’t failed me. It provides a luminous even base that looks like natural healthy skin.
2 Concealer

I use a concealer about one to two shades lighter than my skin and of the same undertone to brighten my under eyes and conceal any hyper pigmentation. Here’s one of my favorites e.l.f. Camo concealer in the color Tan Walnut.
3 Eyeliner

One of my favorite eyeliner brands to use is Wet n Wild. Both the pencils and the liquid eyeliners are very pigmented. They define your eyeline very well bringing attention to your eyes and making your lash line look thicker. The liner pictured above is Wet n Wild Proline in the color Dark Brown. I put a thin line above my top eyelashes to define my lash line.
4 Mascara

Here is one I’ve been liking for the past several months. I was surprised that I ended up enjoying it as it has a wide spooly with dense bristles which is not something I prefer. But it is good at defining eyelashes. This one is Maybelline The Falsies Lash Lift in Blackest Black and it lives up to its name. It gives my eyelashes a good amount of thickness and fans them out very well.
5 Cream blush

And lastly I use cream blush to add a nice flush to my cheeks. Above are two of my favorites that are pinky coral shades. One is La Colors Blush up in Natural Flush and La Colors Cream Gel Blush in Bare Blush. I like these because they are pigmented for the price and are easy to add a flush of color that is not matte like powder generally is and lays well over liquid foundations.
🕒 That’s it — 5 products, 5 minutes.
And there you have it. A five minute face for anytime you need to get ready in a hurry. It’s inexpensive, simple, and impactful. It’s like a quick and understated glow up. And it is a lifesaver you can rely on anytime you don’t have much time. This is the routine I reach for when I’m in a rush but still want to feel good. It’s affordable, effective, and easy to customize for your skin tone or style.
