May 2025 Beauty Favorites

The month of May has quickly come to a close. Do you like my alliteration? Maybe you’re not a literary geek or a geek of any kind. And you’re like what the heck are you talking about? Who cares about alliteration? LOL May is over and I’ve had a few makeup products that I’ve had for a while a rediscovered and some that are completely new that I’ve worn only once and immediately liked. Let me know if you like the granny crochet theme I’ve got going on. And I put a couple of them on denim backgrounds just to make it a little bit cool.

Beauty Favorites

Revlon Illuminance Skin Caring Foundation

I bought this foundation last summer and at first I did not like it. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t enjoy the smell and I thought the color was a little bit too warm for me. I wore L’Oreal True Match Lumi for a while and thought I’d give this one another try since I hadn’t worn this one in a while. And I liked it this time around. I’ve been having skin hyperpigmentation and breakouts and it had enough coverage to even out my skintone. It’s the foundation I’ve used the most this month. Mine is in the shade 501 Toasted Caramel.

Elf Camo Concealer

E.l.f. camo concealer is another product that I liked and disliked at the same time. LOL I thought it was too thick and I don’t like the doe foot applicator. But I tried it out again this month and I enjoy wearing it. It’s a bit light for me so it highlights my undereye well and has good coverage. And it made it to my favorites. Who knew? 😀

e.l.f. Halo Glow

I like illuminating products and this is one of them. It adds a healthy glow to your skin and can be worn alone, under foundation, mixed in with foundation, or used as highlight. It is a very versatile product.

Clinique Almost Lipstick -Black Honey

The Clinique Almost lipstick in Black honey has been in my collection for a while now. I wanted to try it because it went viral online. And its a nice sheer burgundy color. It isn’t really my type of color. But I decided to give it another try one day since I hadn’t worn it in a while and I liked how it looked. 🙂

Neutrogena color corrector

Orange concealers are good for hyperpigmentation on darker skin. I’ve tried orange but I found that on me orange is too orange for me so I was always mixing it with a concealer to tone it down. I prefer peach concealers and I found this Neutrogena one in the shade Deep Peach. It conceals very well and even improves the tone and texture of my skin too since it contains niacinamide. I wear it under my foundation and the peachy tone is easy to cover or I mix it with the e.l.f. Camo Concealer above and it conceals well and I like that mixing it with a more skin toned foundation takes a bit more of the orange out of it.

Wet n Wild One step Wonder Gel – Peach for the Stars

This is a good nail polish that I gave away a while back and it didn’t get used so it made its way back to me. I didn’t like it the first time I owned it but I tried it out again and I like it. To me, it is a cheaper version of OPI Bubble bath.

Milani dolce pink

This is one of my favorite blushes. It is a pink with a slight golden sheen to it. It looks like a blush and a highlighter in one.

e.l.f. Sparkling Rose

This e.l.f blush is a new purchase. I was wanting to wear a berry blush. And e.l.f. does have a berry blush in its monochromatic multi-stick formula it looked to cool toned for me so I got this one instead. And this one looks like lighter version of Milani Dolce Pink. I put the Milani one over this one and I liked how it turned out.

When I wash my hair I like to use a spray conditioner to help me detangle it. I got a new one this month and I have only used it once so far but it made the favorites list. It made detangling easier and faster, it moisturized well, and my blow dry results seemed more stretched and smooth. And it has a pleasant sweet scent. I noticed the smell even after I straightened my hair with other products afterwards.

Non Beauty Favorites

Coffee creamer natural bliss vanilla flavored

This coffee creamer purchase was a complete accident. I bought it because I’d tried a version of my favorite coffee the Americano with an oat creamer since I was trying to cut back on dairy. I ended up liking the oat version so I went to the grocery store to get an oat creamer. There were two vanilla creamers that I saw where the oat creamers were. One was French Vanilla and the other one (this one) was vanilla. Or so I thought. I got home and took it out of the grocery bag and it was milk and cream. 😐 The lesson here is this: “Reading is fundamental.” READ READ READ But I like the creamer so I guess buying it was a fail but my coffee experiences have all been wins.

Yoplait yogurt strawberry and peach

**I don’t have a picture of the yogurt because I’ve already eaten all of it. 😀 And if I get one off of google that would be a copyrighted image. Not that I haven’t used one before but I’m done breaking the law. I have changed my ways and I am no longer a google image thief. Anyway, I’m sure you know what Yoplait yogurt looks like so just visualize it in your head.

And that’s it for my May 2025 favorites.
